TikTok's first big bet on sports came in 2021, when we partnered with UEFA EURO 2020 to launch a new strategic platform for fans: "Where all fans play." We rolled out a multi-market 360 campaign across TV, BVOD, OOH, social, in-app and more, making a bold entrance into the world of football. I oversaw the look and feel, motion, design and copy across markets, and also helped shape the in-app experience, which featured patented TikTok effects and a first-of-its-kind synergy between platform and media channels, reaching both users and non-users. A small but mighty team tackled this massive partnership, delivering standout results and an evergreen strategy that went on to influence many of our future sports collaborations.
